A number of scholars, Quran reciters, representatives of Hezbollah resistance movement, and Quran activists from different parts of Lebanon attended the event, Al-Manar reported.

After recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, Abdullah Nassir, a Hezbollah official in southern Lebanon delivered a speech in which he underlined that the Quran is a source of power.

He added that the Holy Book creates such intellectual, cultural, spiritual, moral, political, and economic power in human beings that enables them to counter the enemies and the world’s oppressors.

Nassir noted that thanks to the Quran, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) changed the Arabian Peninsula in 13 years and establish an Islamic rule there.

When Imam Khomeini (AS) led the Islamic Revolution to victory and established the Islamic Republic in Iran, he had no powers or armies and military equipment he said, adding that the Quran gave Imam Khomeini enormous power.

Other speakers at the program also highlighted the important role of the Quran in society and the growing significance of Quranic activities.

The participants also discussed ways to enhance Quranic activities in Lebanon and boost cooperation among the country’s Quranic societies and institutions.
